EOD Helmet w/ Attachments - Halo: Reach
thingiverse
This is a Demo version meant to portray the details and scale of the prop. The full version can be found here https://www.aguilarworkshop.com/product-page/eod-helmet-w-attachments Major Features "Build your own Helmet" Adventure This EOD helmet comes with 3 separate attachments as well as an easy-change visor system that will allow you to mix and match different helmet configurations on the fly. Every part of this helmet is sliced in a way that there are no seams to be filled and sanded. Each small detail and panel are printed separately to allow for easy painting/decal application so that you can mix and match different color combos/camos before committing to a final color scheme. Easy-Change Visor System. The face plate of the design comes with a smooth rectangular groove that allows you to slide in any flexible rectangular sheet to act as your visor. Once the faceplate slides into the main bucket of the helmet, the visor will be locked in place, no glue or tape required. I utilized a flexible mirrored sheet to act as my visor. The simple visor design of the EOD helmet allowed me to pursue this easier more accessible method of visor integration, rather than having to make a resin visor like I do for my helmets with more detailed visors. Wide Attachment Selection This helmet features all the available attachments that could be found in the original Halo: Reach. This includes the CNM, HUL and UA attachments. The side of the helmet features small panels that cover the attachment inserts rods, so whether or not you want to include certain attachments will include separately printed panels that will either allow the attachment to connect to the helmet, or cover the attachment points. For the overhead HUL attachments, there are two options for the top portion of the bucket. One with a slot for the HUL attachment block, one without. Ergonomic design w/ personal sizing ring Like my other designs, this helmet features a smooth inner cavity and a sizing ring that allows one to know exactly how large to print the helmet. The sizing ring will only take 1-2 hours to print but will save you many hours in the long run. The sizing ring represents the throat of the helmet (the narrowest part of the helmet). This means that once you scale the ring to the point you can snugly fit it over your head, you know that the rest of the helmet will scale to that size and easily fit over your head. If there is a prop you would like to see me make, you too can email me about your design inquiry. Because I will sell the model on my website after the design, it will be cheaper than you think!
