Envelope Opener

Envelope Opener

thingiverse

This is an Envelope Opener. Designed primarily to test embedded objects, though my printer lacks a filament change option or pause function, so a hack was used instead. This print was designed with a Techni-edge #11 hobby blade (TE01-111). Without access to original X-acto blades, I couldn't confirm if the dimensions are correct. However, I've made the blade profile with plenty of extra room. Watch your print at .8~1mm! Insert the blade while the top block is being printed. To ensure adhesion, I prefer using glue (Elmer's - same as my build plate) on both sides of the blade. This design is still a work in progress and can benefit from some functional changes. If you print this, please let me know how it goes! Additionally, if you're interested in a non-hack version, just let me know.
