Entomology Display Frame
thingiverse
This display frame showcases insects, arachnids, and other preserved specimens in clear plastic blocks, specifically designed for use with small size blocks from the 'Real Life Bugs and Insects' series. However, upon testing various blocks, I've noticed they come in slightly different sizes, potentially limiting its compatibility. The frame features two holes at the back, allowing it to be easily hung on a wall either in portrait or landscape orientation. Additionally, it's designed to accommodate LED lighting modifications, illuminating the contained sample for enhanced visual appeal. The back panel is secured by four bolts, providing easy access and adjustment. In contrast, the front panel relies on superglue for attachment, necessitating caution during assembly. It's essential to avoid placing the sample block near the frame until at least 24 hours after the glue has dried to prevent fogging from fumes. Moreover, ensure that the four nuts are securely fastened into the mid-section before attaching the front panel, as access will be restricted afterward.
