Enthroned woman
myminifactory
This is a partially preserved marble sculpture depicting an enigmatic woman seated on a throne that once stood as part of the Goths' Wall in Miletus, Turkey. Yet, the roughly smoothed rear surface suggests that it was initially placed facing the wall or within a Naskos - a temple-like structure. In the 3rd century AD, it was integrated into a wall alongside other sculptures. Given its small size, the seated figure cannot be considered a grave marker but rather a votive offering.
