Enrique Nieto's professional life flourished in the city of Melilla from his arrival on May 14, 1909 (the year he obtained his professional title) until his death in 1954. Enrique Nieto was the thread that connected the architecture of Melilla during the first half of the 20th century and his professional life served as the backbone of this period, the brightest and most creative moment of a city where styles like modernism and art deco emerged. Nieto carried out an abundant work (he signed between one thousand and one hundred one projects) and at the same time created a competitive professional environment in front of other technicians with brilliant results.
