ENIAC-Full Model

ENIAC-Full Model

thingiverse

I create a full model of the ENIAC based on various photographs. Since creating this, I've found scans of the drawings and may return to fine-tune the dimensions based on them. The files include STLs for a single print at 1/48 scale, a 2-piece 1/30 scale, and a multi-piece 1/10 scale. The photo is of a 1/10 scale model printed on my CR-10. Each piece will fit easily into a 300x300x300 print volume. It's modeled in BRL-CAD, developed at the Ballistics Research Lab in Aberdeen Maryland. That's where the ENIAC spent most of its operational life. When I discovered that a CAD package had been developed there, it seemed a moral imperative to use it for the ENIAC model. I've included the TCL script that runs in BRL-CAD and generates the models, but I don't consider it suitable for public consumption. If you want to do something with it, feel free, but I can't promise it will make any sense.
