Enhanced Spur Grip (NY Compliant)
prusaprinters

A NY compliant grip that designed with more features than the original Patent US9127905B2 (Spur Grip).

The rear of the grip has a small set of ridges to aid in grip retention, as well as textured tabs that extend forward to the
trigger guard that allow for the user to rest their thumb comfortably. The tabs also guard the top of the middle finger from
digging into the bottom of the trigger guard (A common issue with users of the original patented spur grip.)

Hardware Needed:

1x Allen Head Screw, 1/4-28 x 1"

1x Steel Star Washer

1x Safety Selector Detent

1x Safety Selector Detent Spring

Designer's Opinion:

To be frank, this design shouldn't exist. I originally am from NY, and before moving to where I am now, I had to use the original spur grip with my AR15. To be honest, it sucked. My middle finger dug into the trigger guard, what grip I COULD get was just awful, and because you could only grip with your thumb and
index finger, it could be a danger if you tried to grip it, and accidentally pull the trigger in the process.

I do not LIKE this design, I do not LIKE the original patent, and in no way does me designing this mean I agree with the NY SAFE Act. I do not LIKE it, but others still live in that state, therefore this design is being published to save those living there from paying for a suboptimal designed grip, for 25 friggin dollars. My design may not be much better, but it's free and IMO, a bit more comfortable, (Though not much more) and keeps other's perfectly within NY backwards minded compliance laws.

Print instructions

Print Settings:

Material: PLA or PLA+
Extruder: 204C
Bed: 54C
First Layer Print Height: .24mm
Standard Layer Height: .18mm
Wall Thickness: .40
Wall Perimeters: 4
Infill: 18%
Infill Pattern: Gyroid
