Enhanced Anet A8 X-Axis Belt Tensioner
myminifactory
I designed this upgrade based on WedgeSD's Improved Anet A8 RepRap X-Axis Belt Tensioner, which won't work with the standard Anet belt and wouldn't fit in an IKEA Lack Table enclosure. To install, you'll need: 1 M3x30 screw 2 M3 nuts 5 M5 washers instead of a pulley No belt upgrade necessary The parts are precision-designed to fit perfectly, but I had to sand and lubricate them with PTFE for smooth operation. This upgrade should allow the printer to fit snugly in an IKEA Lack table enclosure. EDIT: After several months of use, I noticed that the washers had severely damaged the axis, which would have led to a catastrophic failure. I strongly advise against using the Axis.STL file and instead recommend installing a metal axis, such as a cylindrical piece of a screw, which I cut to length using my Dremel. This upgrade is much safer and smoother due to reduced friction.
