The photograph showcases a three-dimensional reconstruction of intricate geometric carvings scattered throughout a rocky outcropping near Tata, situated in Morocco's Draa valley. The Draa valley region, located south of Morocco, hosts one of the country's two primary concentrations of rock art, with the other being found in the High Atlas mountains. To date, over 300 rock art sites have been discovered within the country, the majority of which are situated along the edges of the Sahara Desert. Rock art throughout Morocco primarily consists of engravings depicting wild animals, cattle, riders engaged in hunting or war scenes, and complex geometric symbols challenging to decipher. While establishing chronologies proves difficult, some engravings may be as old as 5,000 years or more. This model was developed utilizing original photographs from the African rock art image project, supported by the Arcadia Fund.
