Gear (Pinion) of Electric Seat Lift for Ford Mondeo mk3, S-Max, Jaguar, etc. It's not necessary to machine the axle shaft. Simply heat the pinion with a heat gun (20 seconds at 1000W) and screw it in. It's very delicate, but it works. A modification with reinforcements has been made, which should make it much easier to screw in and then cut with a saw. There's no problem cutting it. I have no idea how long it will last. So far, it's been raised 20 times without weight, and once with a person sitting on it. The replacement parts with pins are not very reassuring, and if the axle shaft needs to be machined, it's not a job that can be done by anyone.
