Another Depression-era bungalow makes its way back to life! This charming kit house from the 1930s could very well be a Sears model, judging by the fact that it's sited on one of their legendary tracts. To give this little beauty its proper due, I designed custom ceiling beams and panelling for the living room, straight out of the original blueprints. Not stopping there, I added some extra flair to the dining room with a hand-crafted ceiling. Nowhere to be found was the laundry room, so I cleverly repurposed some garage space as hook-ups for a washer and dryer. Upstairs, I scooped out a comfy master bedroom nook above the garage, complete with a bath and closet. Of course, a few nips and tucks were in order here and there - modernizing the interior with tasteful flair was all part of the fun! Now it's a breeze to access that attic space from the upstairs hall.
