This is a new version of my engine crane with several improvements to the design. The chain & hook can be 3D printed, but they are very delicate and need supports during printing and very careful handling afterwards. I find it is better to remove the printed chain & hook and replace it with some actual fine chain (1.5mm x 2mm links - available on eBay) Is your 1/43 scale model garage workshop fully equipped to take on the big jobs? I wanted an engine hoist for the garage on my own 7mm/ft or 1/43 scale O gauge model railway layout so I created this one. It is designed to have the main assembly printed directly on the build plate, and then the wheels added separately with a bit of superglue.
