Engine Block
thingiverse
This inline-4 engine block can be utilized with the accompanying rotating assembly components. A section of the front has been removed to facilitate clear viewing of its internal workings while in motion. A color image displays the entire lower end without the hand-crank adapter, but it shows only the block and stand. To complete your engine, use the following parts: Engine Crankshaft (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:102180), Piston and Rod with accompanying bolts, nuts, and pins (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:100282), and Hand crank for the crankshaft (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:103329). The parts are designed to fit together with minimal gaps for smooth movement right out of the box. If necessary, an acetone bath can help adjust tight tolerances. The block prints in a deck-first (upside down vertical) orientation and measures 102mm in height, although its width and length aren't excessive. Even on an 8x8 bed, you should have no issues printing everything, with the crank being the largest component.
