The human species is known to be incredibly diverse, ranging from 5'1" to over 6'8". The tallest human ever recorded was Robert Wadlow, who stood at an incredible 8 ft 11.1 in tall. His height was caused by a condition called pituitary gigantism, where the body produces excessive amounts of growth hormone. On the other hand, the shortest person on record is He Pingping, who measured just 74.6 cm (2 ft 5.3 in) tall due to a condition known as primordial dwarfism.
