The Milner Pattern Laser Rifle is a straightforward model for war gaming, replicable in 28mm scale. Based on the M-35 action, it provides comparable power output and allows sharing of battery packs with other lasrifles. Designed for a planet with an abundance of lumber but limited mass production facilities, this pattern was intended to be built by machinists without the resources of a full-scale forge world. Farmers, hunters, and Imperial Guardsmen from near-feral worlds have used this rifle. Its design is inspired by the Lee Enfield SMLE at 1/56 scale, with some creative liberties taken. Similar to the Galvanic Rifle, this model features an older design built with wooden furniture crafted by simple tradespeople and fitted with imported laser rifle components.
