I got fed up with fiddling with the endmill in my DW660's collet while I tightened the chuck. This action forces the depth ring upwards into the holder holding the endmill firmly in place. The balanced arms provide ample torque without exerting excessive lateral forces on the chuck. The DW660 version is engineered for a 16mm collet nut (flat to flat), which will also accommodate any standard 5/8" collet nut. The ER11 version is designed specifically for a 17mm collet nut.
