While the Ender 5 prints well with most filaments, I wanted to modify mine to make it like a direct drive printer. This involves moving the extrusion drive mechanism very close to the hot end, eliminating the slack caused by the filament being pushed through the bowden tube. Making the printer direct drive allows the drive mechanism to pull the filament through the bowden tube and it only pushes through the very confined and limited distance from the drive gear to the extrusion nozzle.The SpeedDriveMount.stl comes directly from the project from paydayxray: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4310609 on Thingiverse.
