thingiverse
These custom bed supports make my 3D printed bed much stiffer than before! I've also included a .STEP file to help with editing. 3/4in Angle Aluminum Ender5 Bed Supports Update_12-09-19: Added STL for 4mm thick bed carriage plates. It's named "Support_A-4mmPlate.stl" You'll need: * 3/4in angle aluminum extrusion; 2x 217.5mm lengths (I just cut mine to 217mm) * M5 screws & nuts x8 * Print one of every STL file here Instructions: 1. Cut two 217.5mm lengths of the 3/4in angle aluminum using a dremel or other saw. 2. Press-fit the angle aluminum into the printed pieces. 3. Press-fit the M5 nuts into recesses on **Support_C1** & **Support_C2**. 4. Snugly fit **Support_A** into the bed carriage frame, then carefully slide the supports **Support_B1** & **Support_B2** up and into place over the printer's rod bushings. 5. Position **Support_B1** & **Support_B2** so the bottom edges are flush with the printer's rod bushings, then secure **Support_C1** & **Support_C2** in place using M5 screws.
