Ender3v2 improved PSU cooling
thingiverse
When looking for ways to improve air flow on my Ender3v2 I discovered that there are no way for air pushed into the PSU to exit as the cover plate also covers the vents. On the other hand there is no other actual need for covering the PSU other than to prevent accidentaly touching the mains terminals, so I thought, why not just print a cover that let the PSU breathe easier. I wish I could say that the PSU fan became quieter after the modification but no. On the other hand it takes a bit longer before it starts up and the PSU will last longer before desoldering or frying any internal components. It is now also possible to add a less noisy fan without instantly frying the poor thing as the air actually have somewhere to go. An alternate solution is of course to just cut a hole in the plate cover if you have the tools and inclination. :-)
