Ender3 Triforce knob - Re-remix
thingiverse
MissWashu did a wonderful job remixing the original knob but I prefer my knobs to be a bit more substantial so I decided to revisit my original design as inspired by MissWashu's brilliant idea. Both of these pieces do need supports but I left space in the drawing between the supported sections so they should fit together well. I left the center section as an exact fit for the outer section in the drawing so you can compensate for your printer's horizontal expansion in your slicer. For my centre piece, i used a horizontal expansion value of -0.15mm with a hole expansion of -0.075mm (Hole Expansion is available on the latest version of Cura and a negative value results in a smaller hole. This was to counter compensate for the overall horizontal expansion which effected the spindle hole as well.) I applied these values ONLY to the center piece. Fitting the pieces together should be fairly straight-forward. You could used glue but mine snapped together well enough that I didn't feel it was necessary. I hope you all enjoy this collaborative effort, be sure to check out MissWashu's design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4894283 and post a make so we can see what creative colour combinations you all come up with!
