This is a shoutout for the stock Creality Ender 3 Spool pin. I printed a new spool adapter from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3049913 and also used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3199964, making sure to use Macnet's longer bolt version. UPDATE: July 25, 2019 - I've uploaded v3 of the Spool plug, which fits much tighter and has thicker inner walls for added strength. This design is a significant improvement, as I've experienced my plugs getting knocked out before and had to chase them down behind my furniture. Thank you for your patience. To assemble this system, you'll need to print all three pieces. The longer bolt created by Macnet comes included with this Thing, while the nut designed by nego_0 is also part of the package. However, I found that the stock spool pin didn't fit the adapter as expected. To resolve this issue, I removed the lip on the outside edge of the adapter. The combination of these three pieces results in a smooth-rolling spool that works incredibly well. It's a simple design that requires no bearings, screws, bolts, or other parts. I'm impressed with how well it functions and believe it to be universal, making it a great solution for those looking for an upgrade.
