Update: 09/27/18 - Uploaded a version without LED hole and "OctoPi" text for more general usage A customized mainboard case for the Ender3, featuring an exposed SD Card slot and buttons to control OctoPi alongside a status light. The USB cable connecting the Ender3 mainboard to a Pi passes through the right-hand side hole. The SD Card Adapter fits neatly into its designated space within the case. Attach this cover to the front of the mainboard case, using the lower right front screw and two top screws where the fan guard is situated. You can find more details on this assembly process here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2935204 If you're not utilizing the fan guard, ensure to use washers to compensate for any height discrepancies. For the status light, I utilized a 6.5mm outer diameter LED ring. The button has a diameter of 12mm. Here's a list of components used: - SD Card Adapter: Available on eBay as TF Micro SD To SD Card Extension Cable Adapter - LED mounting ring: Reichelt.de offers an affordable option at https://www.reichelt.de/montageclip-fuer-5-mm-leds-montagering-5mm-p12529.html - Button: Pollin.de provides a suitable choice at https://www.pollin.de/p/einbau-drucktaster-pbs-12c-420463 For wiring instructions, refer to these resources: - How to wire a button: Learn the process at https://howchoo.com/g/mwnlytk3zmd/ - How to wire a status LED: Follow this guide for step-by-step guidance at https://howchoo.com/g/ytzjyzy4m2e/ Removing supports took me approximately 5 minutes, and although it was not the most straightforward process, it was doable. Printing time averaged around 8.5 hours due to my relatively slow print speed. You may require longer M3 screws to secure the case through the fan guard cover.
