Ender3 S1 Top Mount
thingiverse
The cabinet i have my printer in was to narrow for the Ender 3 S1 LCD display to be in its original position. I saw others had made a top mount for the Ender 3 V2 LCD display. The Ender 3 S1 does has smooth metal extrusion for its frame so i could not reuse these mounts. Instead the Ender 3 S1 has 3 bolt holes, i have reused these for this model. The model is made in OnShape and is public: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/07bdfb66bb8349e3a5e8bb87/w/9600cafecec7624793cbb6d8/e/63120296b62fb86a09eb49b4?renderMode=0&rightPanel=variableTablePanel&uiState=6280aa8283335f47ba6b2288 No real requirements for printing this model. Should print fine as long as the printer can print with reasonable precision. I printed it on an Ender3 in PETG with a 0.8 nozzle, using 0.4 layer height and 0.85 line width. No support needed. The picture of my print might look at bit rough. I forgot to turn of brim, and cut it off a bit too willy nilly, but the print is still very functional, an sturdy. Ideas for improvements are welcome. *Edit 1* Made a new version, as version 1 put the display too close to the print head. Version 2 has three versions, one with very tight clearance to the print head, one with ~5 mm and one witch ~10 mm. The one with very tight clearnace wil nudge the screen ever so sligthly when going to the very extreme limits of the printers front right corner. But because of the holes the LCD screens tabs are put in have a certain give, the screen will just move a tiny bit to accomedate. A version with a different clearance can easily be made by modifying the parameter “approxPrintHeadClearance” in the OnShape Model to approx the wanted clearance in mm.
