I found the original fan very loud so I decided to install a Noctua NF-A8-FLX 80x80x25mm silent fan. It runs on 12V but the board supplies 12V for the fan, so no Buck converter needed. I had previously replaced te cooling fan with another Noctua product (NF-A4X10 FLX)and was amazed at how silent it runs.Of course I had to desing a new cover due to footprint of new fan using Fusion 360. While I was at i I also replaced the fan on the main board with another Noctua fan. This one required a Buck converter. My printer now runs so quiet I could sleep next to it and not be bothered.
