I was having trouble getting my printer to print smoothly because the PLA reel wasn't properly aligned around the spool axle. The tension on the filament wasn't even, causing the spool to spin unevenly. To fix this issue, I came up with a simple solution: creating two reel spacers that would allow for better rotation and prevent the filament from getting tangled. These spacers are designed to fit snugly around the PLA reel, ensuring that it rotates smoothly and evenly. The design features a 4mm hole in each spacer, allowing me to attach them together using an M4 bolt or thread an elastic band through both sides to keep them securely in place. This setup works like a charm, and I've used minimal PLA material to create these parts. The dimensions of the spacers are ID 32mm and OD 52mm, making them a standard fit for most PLA reels. The models posted include a standard version as well as an optional part mode with a 0.2mm first layer extension by 8.5mm, which helps improve bed adhesion and makes it easier to print the first layer.
