Ender3 Max Neo Sprite SE Runout Sensor Direct Mount
prusaprinters
The pins in the model are negative modifiers that will slice into holes. I didn't model this in CAD, it's just shapes cut together in Prusa. Mount your filament sensor directly to the hotend for an accurate runout distance rather than a variable one. Low weight and less bind on your filament feeding. My alternate model mounts to the Z gantry but I found that X-axis movements rapidly can damage the filament at sharp angles. This alleviates that. Equally as important, it clears the Z-Gantry on both sides, allowing full printing range. You will need to extend your cable for the sensor, but that applies to any relocation off the original mount. I've not done mine yet. You will also need to re-direct your cable management or else you'll have your sensor cable hitting the Z-gantry and potentially damaging the wire and ruining your prints. I've moved my cable bundle to the front of the Z-gantry instead of behind. This prevents the Sprite SE extruder cable from bumping into the Z-gantry and causing print failures, and will also aid this. It also prevents the stock cables from snagging or bumping into the gantry either. I'm only making a .3mf as I can't export the negative extrusion modifiers into the STL and I don't have the skillset to model them in, however they're accurately spaced (as far as I'm aware - they work on mine)
