Ender3 Filament Guide and cable releif (Bowden)
thingiverse
The updated design requires the two parts to be merged together using a tiny zip tie. I made this change because I discovered that with cable chains installed, I couldn't reach maximum build height with the old setup. I was dissatisfied with the filament guides available, so I decided to create my own simple guide that perfectly aligns with my extruder. Many of the other guides forced the filament at an angle, causing a terrible squeak during retractions. This new guide uses the spare Bowden connector that comes with the Ender 3 and a short piece of PTFE tubing to ensure perfect alignment and eliminate any squeaking. Notes: - This design is sized for a M6 threaded Bowden adapter (included with the Ender 3). - The cable is secured using a small zip tie (also included with the Ender 3). - Although I only own an Ender 3, my understanding suggests that Creality's other models have similar extruders, so this might work for them as well. - This project is my first attempt.
