Fans Mount for Creality Ender 3 Stock. Designed specifically for printing with ABS plastic, this fans mount is a must-have accessory for any serious 3D printer enthusiast. It's designed to keep your hotend cover and fan duct at the optimal temperature, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free printing experience. Unlike other fans mounts on the market, this one only cools the radiator, leaving the nozzle free from airflow interference. This means you can enjoy improved print quality and reduced warping, even when printing with challenging materials like ABS. One of the best things about this fans mount is its compatibility with stock fans. You won't need to worry about upgrading your fans or purchasing additional accessories - it works seamlessly with what you already have. However, if you do decide to add a fan cover, you'll need to use longer screws to secure it in place. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend printing the parts near the heat block using a material that can withstand high temperatures, such as ABS. Temperatures next to the heating block can reach up to 100°C, so make sure your printer is equipped to handle them. This fans mount consists of four main components: the fan support, fan duct, fan cover, and cable fixation. Each part has its own unique features and benefits, making it easy to customize your setup to suit your needs. ### Fan Support The fan support is a critical component that holds everything together. It comes in four variants, each with zero, one, or two cable guides: * fansSupport_withCableGuides.STL * fansSupport_withCableGuide1only.STL * fansSupport_withCableGuide2only.STL * fansSupport_withoutCableGuides.STL **Print Settings:** * Layer Height: 0.2 mm * Wall Thickness: 1.2 mm (3 Wall Lines) * Top/Bottom Thickness: 1 mm (5 Layers) * Supports: Everywhere ### Fan Duct The fan duct is designed to direct airflow towards the radiator, keeping it at the optimal temperature. It comes in several variants with different heights: * fanDuct_height24.0mm.STL * fanDuct_height24.5mm.STL * fanDuct_height25.0mm.STL * fanDuct_height25.5mm.STL * fanDuct_height26.0mm.STL * fanDuct_height26.5mm.STL * fanDuct_height27.0mm.STL Personally, I use the height 25.5mm for my printer. **Test Above Water:** Watch this YouTube video to see how it works in action: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6DWr4B2ddDo" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> **Print Settings:** * Layer Height: 0.15 mm * Initial Layer Height: 0.15 mm * Wall Thickness: 1.2 mm (3 Wall Lines) * Top/Bottom Thickness: 1 mm (7 Layers) * Supports: Touching Buildplate * Top/Bottom Line Directions: [0,90] ° (to improve infill on overhangs) * Skin Overlap Percentage: 10 % (to improve infill on overhangs) * Top/Bottom Speed: 20 mm/s (to improve infill on overhangs) * Support Overhang Angle: 20 ° (to avoid deformations on the rounded overhang) ### Fan Cover The fan cover is a must-have accessory for any serious 3D printer enthusiast. It's designed to keep your hotend cover at the optimal temperature, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free printing experience. However, it cannot be mounted using stock screws - you'll need longer screws to secure it in place. **Print Settings:** * Layer Height: 0.2 mm * Wall Thickness: 1.2 mm (3 Wall Lines) * Top/Bottom Thickness: 1 mm (5 Layers) * Supports: Everywhere ### Cable Fixation The cable fixation is a critical component that holds everything together. It's designed to keep your cables organized and secure, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free printing experience. However, it's not compatible with the original extruder - it's made for the extruder in aluminium, which many people own. You'll need an additional cable tie to hang on the cable to this part. You can use one of those supplied with the printer as spares. **Print Settings:** * Layer Height: 0.14 mm * Wall Thickness: 1.2 mm (3 Wall Lines) * Top/Bottom Thickness: 1 mm (8 Layers) * Supports: Touching Buildplate * Minimum Layer Time: 30 seconds (to minimize deformations of ABS on thin parts)
