UPDATE: Implemented a 4-Point Upgrade, featuring enhanced stability and additional versatility through the optional use of an extended bolt in the fan cover's upper fixing hole. This revised design is a reworked version of the printed DD adapter (3998501) for the Ender3, utilizing primarily stock components. To assemble this adaptation, you will require two or four M3x8 screws and two or four M3 nuts, depending on your chosen configuration. Upon reviewing the original design, several areas stood out that required modification to ensure optimal performance and usability: 1. Tight tolerance for fitting issues were addressed through a series of adjustments. 2. The original design obstructed the installation of a standard BLtouch mount; therefore, material was strategically removed to facilitate seamless integration. 3. To simplify maintenance and calibration tasks, the extruder component was divided into two parts, allowing for easier removal. 4. Cable management improvements were incorporated through the addition of cable tie points for secure restraint. 5. The revised design now prints without supports, enhancing overall printability.
