Ender3/ 3pro /3V2 Keybak anti-falling bracket
thingiverse
There are Ender3 (series) that has a very straight and smooth T8 lead screw. This is usually a good thing as there will be very little to no z banding. But it can also create an issue of the x-gantry falling when power is cut to the stepper. On ender3 (series) that uses the Creality board ie 4.2.2 or 4.2.7, there is no way you can cut power to the X, Y and extruder steppers without cutting power to the Z motor. This is because all the steppers enable pins are tied to one pin address. Such is the design laziness of the Creality tech team. In order to prevent the gantry from falling onto the prints or crashing onto the bed, I designed this bracket and hook to provide some resistance needed. Do note that this is only useful if your Ender3 's frame is: - properly squared - x gantry leveled to the frame - no tilt or binding on the left side of the gantry. - eccentric nuts are properly tightened with the wheel just gripping the frame. BOM: Retractable keychain /lanyard or Keybak M4x8 + T-Nut x 2sets M2x8 screws (from the part cooling fan if you have mod it. Can be printed in pla or petg. I use an infill of 24% and 3 walls.
