ender2 base Z fix
thingiverse
Hello everyone, I wanted to share this mod with you. This mod is specifically designed for those who have an angled Z-axis extrusion, which I've found to be around 7-10 degrees off-kilter in my own printer. As a result, every print I made was crooked, and it wasn't until after many prints that I discovered the issue - which was hiding on the side and not easily visible when looking at the front of the print. Unfortunately, this wasn't the only problem I encountered. The little extrusion part and the long one were also not cut properly, so I decided to create a base that would insert the extrusion in order to keep it straight. As you can see from the photos, there is about an 0.8mm difference on one side. Here are the instructions: Print this modification hard at around 60-80% infill. It's recommended to use PETG or ABS since they are near the bed, but PLA with high infill can also withstand the temperatures. Screws: For the 8 # M4 T-nuts, 2 # M4 10mm bolts, 1 # M4 15mm bolts, and 5 # M4 20mm bolts. M4 washers will also help increase strength. Stock parts: You'll need to use about one M5 standard nut on the back plate. It's your choice where to place it - either under the extrusion or in the middle. If you use two under the extrusion, this mod is essentially useless and you might as well have a well-cut part. NOTICE: Keep in mind that using this modification will result in losing 1.5-2cm in height. The first photo shows my initial model, while the new one is improved.
