Ender Stabilizer

Ender Stabilizer

prusaprinters

This is a remix of a brace I printed a while ago. I cant find the original model any more, but these are much longer.

The ender 5 needs brace supports for the Y axis, but the belt tracks in the bottom groove on the Y axis where the tee nut would typically go. These can be mounted on the bottom 2020 groove and stabilize the upper frame quite well. They are sized so 2 can angle up in opposite directions (forming a V). I put 2 on each side, although even 1 helps a lot.

Using braces improved the quality of my prints more than any other upgrade. It made the layer lines disappear almost completely. These braces are designed for 3mm x 25mm bolts and m3 2020 T nuts. They are 250mm long (as modeled) so require printing at a diagonal (which is the orientation they should be imported at). Get ready for better prints!
