Update 2020-03-25: ==================== * Completely compatible with the Ender 2, 3 & 5! * Updated BLtouchMount and HotendMount-V3_1 versions installed. Heathshield removed for improved usability. Minor improvements made. Added: Merged_Hotend&FanMount-V3_2.stl for printing materials other than ABS/ASA. Requires supports but is completely doable. Update 2019-10-08: --------------------- Replaced all files with slightly updated versions. Changes: --------------------- * Fixed minor tolerance issues (issues probably wouldn't bother anyone) * Parts are now easier to print * Clearer part naming used * .stp file contains all parts * Hotend mount allows for more airflow * Image of sliced parts shows support locations and optimal orientation Project finished. No other changes can be made. This project fits Ender 2,3, CR10 & variants, but hasn't been tested on those devices. Interesting things about this hotend mount: --------------------- * Completely modular design * Part cooling mounts allow any cooler to be attached (bodge mounting surface or something in meshmixer may be needed) * BLtouch part can be easily swapped out, excluded or replaced with whatever * BLtouch offset is 30.4,0,3 (x,y,z) * Hotend mount redirects coldend cooling air upwards through internal vents/channels so it doesn't interfere with prints * Very compact design (great for enclosures) * Heatshield protects BLtouch from getting too toasty Required hardware: --------------------- * Microswiss or stock Creality hotend (maybe others fit???) * Two 5015 Blowers (or whatever you need for coolers you decide to strap to the sides) * A 4020 axial cold-end cooling fan * Zipties (screws can be used instead to mount the 4020 fan) * Optional remote part cooling blowers: a good amount of 1/2in OD, 3/8in ID tubing Assembly notes: --------------------- * FanMount & HotendMount need to either be glued or ABS welded together. A fused STL can be uploaded if desired.
