Ender Max Gantry leveller with storage containers
thingiverse
I hate wasted space. Hook3d made a gantry leveller. I printed them out and used them. But because they are a 'use only when needed' thing and not in regular use they ended up in a drawer. I don't know which drawer or what they are under. So I changed things up a bit. These are slightly larger than Hook3d's version. This allows for a tiny amount more space in the containers. I had exact tools in mind so they were made to fit those. Instead of just being a tool, they now serve as small tool holders when not in use. A option now added is that of filling in the lower leveller where the containers butt up to when in use, This makes the leveller handy to put small screws in when working on the printer. It's as easy as lifting the two containers out then the lower leveller becomes two small trays until the jobs done. The v slot clips on the rear are for another plan I had in mind. As it turned out I went a different route, but those slots fittings could still be useful to others so I left them on. They don't get in the way so it seems daft removing a potentially useful piece of the design change. To use, just hook them into the lower extrusion and drop the gantry onto them so you can set the X level properly. I have another 'thing' that can now use these modified levellers as part of one of the designs. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5235591 Anyone arriving here from that thing needs both the levellers. The containers here are identical to those on the that thing.
