Ender Laser head mount

Ender Laser head mount

Long story short, this is a mount that sits on the X-carriage to enable mounting of a laser for engraving purposes. The 500mw laser from the Neje unit was set at a 100mm focal distance. In use, I elevate the z height by 60mm plus the thickness of the item being burned in. The laser is connected to the laser/fan slot on the board. I used Inkscape with the J-Tech extension to generate the code, adding a home command, raise command and pause prior to actual printing for final movement of the target object. I recommend watching YouTube videos on using Inkscape with the plug-in if you haven't tried it before. Disclaimer: This was made for personal educational purposes - if you use it, it's at your own risk. Using lasers can be hazardous; make yourself aware of any safety precautions and follow them! ***Very Important Note*** When using the Laser output on the printer board, it appears to cause the laser to briefly light at full power on startup, when changing cards and when starting a print, maybe at other times too. Wear your glasses at all times.
