Ender Extender (400) Storage Bin

Ender Extender (400) Storage Bin

prusaprinters

If you have installed the Ender Extender 400 kit, this fills in the huge empty space on the front right of the printer with a useful storage bin. It mounts using M3 hardware and T-nuts; there is room left for the display ribbon cable to pass around it. Will fit on a 220x220mm build area if you disable any raft, brims, or skirt.A mat insert is also included, for printing with TPU. To give a nice non-slip surface to the floor of the bin.Print settings:Material is at your discretion. I used PETG for the bin, and TPU for the mat.Layer height is also at your discretion however I designed the bin for a 0.24mm layer height, and the mat for a 0.12mm layer height.Recommend 0.5mm line width as many of the dimensions are a factor of 0.5mm thickness.Recommend tree supports, touching build plate only.Installation:Use M3 screws with T-nuts to populate the holes. For the side with 4 stand-offs, I only used 2 of them but it gives you some options.Offer up the bin from the bottom, as the end with the tab flange is going to the bottom of the Y-axis extrusion. Be careful of the display ribbon cable - depending on how you routed it, ensure it is not pinched by the standoffs. There is space for the cable to run between them.
