Ender, CR-10/20 PTFE tube fixing
thingiverse
We're now using a Micro Swiss all metal hotend clone from Triangle Lab. This is an excellent hotend, but the original Triangle Lab version has a very poor PTFE mount design. The plastic lock mechanism is not reliable and has caused several issues with the PTFE tube disconnecting from the hotend. To address this problem, we've designed a new PTFE fixing system that fits seamlessly under the original hotend, eliminating the need for any additional upgrades. When printing the base of the fixing system, it's essential to use supports. However, the nut should be printed without any support material. The installation process is straightforward. Simply remove the hotend cover, take out the PTFE tube from the hotend, and disconnect the heat sink nuts. Next, carefully slide off the original hotend, place the body of the fixing system in position, and reinstall the hotend in reverse order. Once done, place the PTFE tube correctly, insert the locking nut gently, and finally secure it with a gentle touch. Finally, replace the hotend cover.
