Ender - Boy Fallout Theme Ender-2 Housing with Pi Zero
thingiverse
I unveil my latest masterpiece - The Ender - Boy. Recently, I acquired a fresh supply of filament and felt compelled to create something new. In this iteration, I replaced the original casing entirely. I upgraded the 40mm fan with a more powerful 60mm fan. The right side panel now houses a pi zero w. The front port and sd card are discreetly concealed. My reasoning behind this design was that I have shifted my printing platform to octoprint, rendering frequent access to the front unnecessary. To minimize cable clutter from the pi, I rerouted them out the side and back. The components were designed to resemble objects found in the Fallout universe. If you're curious about the filament used, it's a cheap bronze metallic with black and gray accents on the top vent. The additional parts included (I've also provided an alternative using the stock internal 40mm fan): - A 60mm case fan - Numerous m3 bolts, mostly 20 and 16mm in diameter, along with some random sizes - A pi zero w Many of the original screws and components can be reused. Assembly requires patience: To secure everything in place, you'll need needle nose pliers and tweezers. It took me some time to get everything aligned correctly, but it's achievable. Swapping the display cable will improve fitment. This design is compatible with a specific chain found on thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2802560). A few parts have been refined from my previous print, resulting in improved quality. The detailed components were printed at .1 layer thickness, while larger pieces were printed at .3 mm. Supports were added where necessary.
