These replacement knobs were designed to keep the bed level stable by preventing accidental shifting caused by bumping into the Ender 3's stock leveling knobs. Once installed with lock washers, the bed can still be adjusted, but the knobs and washers provide a clear tactile click that prevents slippage. If you're using the "Bed Level Visualizer" plugin for Octoprint, each click on these new knobs represents about 0.027 millimeters of bed rise or fall, which means around 4 clicks per tenth of a millimeter.
