This design was originally made by windischb, but by the time i got around to making this he doesn't appear to be on here anymore.... And from the video i put up on facebook, people are interested in this so i have relisted this here as i couldn't post a make on his/ hers. I printed with petg but pla would do just make the infill above 30 percent and should be strong enough. The linear rails mount to the bottom slot on the top 2040 side extrusions on the inside. DO NOT TIGHTEN until everything is in place, then you will need to run your y axis by hand back and forth with adjusting rails to get a smooth movement right through the y axis. Be patient, this can take some time to get right but it is VERY IMPORTANT. If using cheap chinese rails, do a search on how to service them and follow the instructions... this will help the chinese cheapies perform a lot better. The mount for the E3DHemera can be found here Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4866790 The mount for the X-Axis linear rail mount can be found here Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4800961 If you find your prints aren't going as good as you would have hoped, then you might need to change some firmware settings like acceleration and jerk settings as there is a lot less resistance on your y axis now, same goes if you do the x axis linear rail mod. Though sometimes this is not needed. HARDWARE : The bolts to mount the bracket to the linear rail block are m3x35 button head Bolts to mount rails to 2040 extrusion are -- m3x6 with t-nuts for each bolt. I used 5 bolts per 400mm rail. The rails are mgn12 400mm long with single slide block All the original bolts can be used for the rollers. IMPORTANT -- The original spacers are a bit too long to fit. You can either file them down to fit (make sure you check alignment of wheel as you go) or if you have some alloy tube the right size, you could cut some down to correct size.
