Mount a light to the backside of the hot end carriage, to get an LED close to the nozzle. To use this you will need to drill out the threaded holes for the 3mm screws that you would use to hold down the cable strain relief clamp on the top of the hot end carriage, just enough to remove the threads so that longer 3mm screws can be inserted. The 3mm nuts should fit into this bracket to tighten both the strain relief clamp and this bracket down to the carriage. It may be a tight fit, I had to use a pair of pliers to push them in, but that's what you want to happen. Depending on your strain relief clamp, longer 3mm screws may be required. My are currently too long (30mm), but I'm about to change to a drag chain setup anyway which will allow me to use 20mm instead. Having done this, the LED mount will now travel freely with the carriage. The LEDs I'm using are a leftover strip of 3 that I cut from a longer roll. I have just zip tied them on for now, but will properly mount them later. testing: https://youtu.be/asUZzC6eUQA
