Ender 6 Canopy Mount
thingiverse
This is my take on mounting the stock Creality Canopy on the Ender 6. *** Please Check Which Version First! *** **Version 4: Name changed to <Canopy_Mount> on all parts** Some minor changes and improvements based on initial feedback. I have printed most of this and the rest is still printing but it fits much better. As before, this is still a work in progress and I already have plans to add LED lighting in v5 :) so feel free to let me know if there are any issues. - The parts are now more solid and have less flex, but infill can still be kept low. - More support on the top of the 2040 extrusion to reduce wobble. - All sockets are will now fit M3 Socket Head or Button Head screws. - Tolerances improved, no more gaps around Y extrusions - Can be a little bit more fiddly to tighten screws but its worth it for the extra stability - More support for the canopy all around - I tried rear tabs to stop the canopy slipping backwards but honestly it doesn't need it and it caused more problems than it solved. - Better clearance around the acrylic side panels to allow for slight manufacturing variances - The name plate can also be used at the rear as an extra support if you like. - Supports are no longer needed to print this :) - STEP files are attached, I have F3d and SLD files too if any one wants. Please read the updates to the construction notes **before printing** as this has changed. ** Version 1: The original and most tested, files are marked v1 ** This is definitely a version 1. I have printed and tested the model on my own machine and it fits fine, however I will be making some changes for a v2 that make better use of screw placements and tolerances. Otherwise, enjoy. Supports are only needed on the Corner Mounts, and they need to be placed longest side to the print bed. Only one at a time will fit. The Draft Shields can be printed face down as well, 2 at a time. **Credit to Ray Morgan for inspiring the design in the first place.**
