Ender 5 Y-Axis Drive Support Bracket
thingiverse
The new shaft drive perfectly aligns and supports the Y axis shaft. This critical alignment ensures that every step of the assembly process is precise and secure. By incorporating this feature, you can confidently verify that the system is properly aligned. Additionally, the bearing on the other side of each pulley provides extra support and stability. To achieve optimal performance, I recommend using at least two brackets, or up to four if you want to experiment with advanced stepper alignment techniques. This approach allows for a high degree of customization and flexibility. The coupler has been replaced, and the stepper mounting holes have been drilled out to accommodate self-alignment with these brackets. To assemble this system, you will need 2 M5x10 SHCS screws and 1 t-nut per bracket. These components work in conjunction with the F688 bearing, which is identical to the OEM brackets. If your printer is well-tuned, the fit should be snug but not overly tight. I printed the brackets using a layer height of .2mm and 50% infill for optimal strength and durability.
