This is a cable guide/strain relief for the Creality Ender 5 X axis stepper motor cables. It's compact enough that it shouldn't interfere with your extruder, even if you fitted a turning knob mod. The print needs to be robustly designed (the attachment point of the arm acts as a strong lever). I had a couple of failures with low-cost no-name Ebay PLA. I've reprinted it with my Basicfil PLA (which I normally use for mechanically stressed parts with my Flashforge Finder but which is in short supply at the moment) and it is more than robust enough.
