Ender-5 Tool Holder (Remix)

Ender-5 Tool Holder (Remix)

The Ender-5 is almost indistinguishable from the ender-3, sharing a staggering 95% of its identity. However, the frame tells a different story. The aluminum extrusions may have identical measurements, but a critical design flaw prevents the tool holder from the 3 from fitting snugly on the corner of the 5. A significant obstacle stands in the way - the Y-axis belt rollers are in the direct path. This innovative remix boldly repositions the cutter holder to the front, subtly adjusting the bracket to accommodate its new placement. The result is a sleek and functional design that cleverly circumvents the earlier limitations. A left corner iteration is available for those who prefer it on the right; simply mirror the design to achieve the desired layout. For added convenience, I've included both an STL file (generated by TinkerCAD) and a Netfabb-enhanced version, which should help eliminate any pesky holes that may have arisen in the mesh. Unfortunately, their origin remains unknown, and attempts to rectify the issue were unsuccessful. A notable update was made on October 22nd, 2019: a lightweight variant was added at the request of users, cleverly leveraging the side cutters and scraper for a more streamlined design.
