I modified the original spool holder to fit perfectly onto the existing Ender 5 holder without any modifications. To secure it in place, I added a slight lip on each shim that levels out the spool holder, preventing the updated holder from sliding off. To allow for easy installation, I made the updated spool holder slide smoothly over the original holder. The inner hole was enlarged to accommodate this feature and maintain compatibility with the factory part.
