Ender 5 Screen / display relocation flush to frame

thingiverse

I initially printed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3936378 but the stock cable was too short and after swapping it with a longer one I had, I also noticed that the bed would touch the cable/plug after reaching 260-270mm so that was a no-no for me. I edited the design and this way, I made it sit flush with the frame so it would not interfere with any other parts. I love it like this. I also made a version with Ender and the Dragon cut-outs but you can choose not to use it as I also uploaded the regular version. I need to add a back to this design and I think the one from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4366331 might work but I have to try it first. I printed this in black pla with 0.2 mm layer height, no supports, 25% infill, 80mm/s speed and 215 nozzle temp with 55 bed temp. As somebody pointed out, please consider this: "dragontype191 September 22, 2020 I really like this design, but unfortunately, it prints weird for me as is. The surface of the model isn't 100% flush so I only get a partial first layer and the rest fills in on the second layer badly with bad bed adhesion. You can offset this by lowering the model just slightly lower than flush to cut out the first layer and start it higher but it would be nice to see the surface shaved and made even. That being said it looks great and I really do like the way it looks!"
