The major drawback of the Ender 5 (Pro) is its wiring, which appears to be an afterthought. The goal of this design is to utilize the stock wires while providing them with sufficient support, clearance, and tidiness. A key component is the arched support bracket, also known as the Lower Support Bracket, which positions the reel holder parallel to the side of the frame. This bracket features wire tie blocks on its back for added support and keeps the wires out of sight. The reel support is situated 100mm above the lower frame rail, allowing for ample clearance for various spool sizes. Notably, this part was printed in PLA. The X carriage wire hangs precariously and requires a significant amount of freedom of movement. To address this issue, the X Wire Support must be turned 90 degrees to position the connector inline with the X axis. This allows the wire to be routed so it sits parallel to the side rail and out of the way of the right-side bogies. Two cable tie locations provide support for the wire in its correct position. A small hook at the aft inside clip of the support keeps the X axis end stop wire away from the bogie, while a cable tie secures the wire to an existing hole in the bogie. This configuration enables the wire to hang in a long arch towards the Support Bracket, a setup that has been extensively tested with no issues related to chafing or cables. The cable tie blocks used in this design are adapted from kilroy01's Tool Clip, available on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3361395). These blocks come in two sizes: 40mm and 20mm, each suited for different locations: Two 2040 Cable Tie Clips (40mm) are used for the leg, with an arrow indicating direction. One 2040 Cable Tie Clip (20mm E) secures the extruder wire. One 2040 Cable Tie Clip (20mm S) is employed for the upper stepper wire on the inside of the leg. One 2040 Cable Tie Clip (20mm T) captures the lower table wire, which also supports the Z stepper wire. Two 2040 Cable Tie Clips (40mm 1) are used for the upper Y and lower Z stepper wires. It is recommended to print these cable tie blocks in a material with some flexibility, such as PETG. In this case, CPE was used.
