The extruder stepper motor on my Ender-5 Pro made strange and disturbing noises during retraction.

Since I couldn't find any silencer for the Ender-5 Pro, I made one by myself.

The Extruder Silencer by petrzmax served as a suggestion.

My silencer was printed with Sunlu TPU 95A filament; it has a nice flexibility.

Assembly: First I attached the motor to the silencer with two M4x12 allen screws and two nuts. Then I fixed the silencer to the frame with the original M4x8 screws and its T-nuts.

Now the strange noise is gone :-)

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 5

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Filament:

Sunlu TPU 95A

Notes: My second 3D printer is an Artillery Genius and has a direct extruder.
Therefore I took my Genius to print this silencer with TPU 95A filament.

I used Cura 4.12 with following settings:

Wall Line Count: 2

Fill Gaps Between Walls: Nowhere

Infill Density: 0

Category: 3D Printer Parts
