Before you proceed, decide if you want an end-of-filament-sensor at the extruder. If so, bypass this lovely structure and go directly to my remix. I got tired of my filament snapping on long drives to outside corners, so I wrapped it in wasted Capricorn Bowden tube I lost with a Direct Drive upgrade from Printermods.com. You'll need two male straight pneumatic PTFE Tube Push in Quick Fitting Connector fittings (sorry, but I used big ones because there's no stop edge to catch filament on). I would recommend not using smaller ones because brass edges make feeding filament a stabbing affair. I used "official" Creality fittings - feel free to substitute as you see fit. You'll also need two M3X50mm screws and two M3X12mm screws with nuts. Or, you can do what I did and buy an assortment so they're always on hand (no need to disassemble old equipment for parts). An 8mm-20mm assortment is available at https://www.amazon.com//dp/B07VRC6DHD/. A 30mm to 50mm assortment is also available at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XNBGRQ/. My Cura tried to add supports on the big hole for the extruder-mounted piece but didn't seem to notice when I disabled it. It printed fine.
